Embedding Google Maps

New version of Google Maps


1. Drag an Embed widget on to your Releasd Page 

2. Go to Google Maps and search for your desired location. Click the 'Share' option on the left of the page.



3. Select "Embed map" in the popup





4. Click the drop-down next to the code that says "Medium" button and select "Custom size"



5. Enter "300" in the first box (width) and select a height in the next box (generally 400)



7. Copy the embed code



8. Paste it into the Releasd Embed widget. You'll see a check box in the widget that says "Show embed code in viewer". If you want users to be able to embed your map in their site, tick the box. If not, leave it un-ticked 




9. Click Save and you're done. The viewer will see the below display in the page




 

Old version of Google Maps


1. Drag an Embed widget on to your Releasd Page 

2. Go to Google Maps and search for your desired location

3. Click the link icon in the left column (see below) and a popup will appear

4. Within the popup, you'll see 'Paste HTML to embed in website'. Highlight the code beneath this and copy it to your clipboard



5. Paste the embed code in the Releasd Embed widget where it says 'Embed Code'

6. Scroll to the top of the embed code that you've just pasted in.  Change the width to 100% (important: be sure to include the % sign)



7. You'll see a check box at the bottom of the widget that says "Show embed code in viewer". If you want users to be able to embed your map in their site, tick the box. If not, leave it un-ticked
